Baptisms on 5 February

On Sunday 5th February we are holding our first baptism service since before Covid and we are. delighted to have 6 young people and adults from the church family making a public declaration of faith by being baptised. Please do be praying for them over this week.

Practical Details

Timings

These are all approximate timings as it is the first time we are running the service!

1:00pm - Service starts

1:35pm - Those being baptised move through to the swimming pool

1:40pm - Congregation moves through to the swimming pool, making sure to put on the blue booties provided. Ensure you leave your jackets and belongings in the cloakroom zone of the concourse.

1:50pm - Baptisms begin

2:30pm - Service ends and congregation leave from the swimming pool.

*Please note that there will be very limited access to the concourse after the baptisms as the team will be packing down the equipment moving chairs and folding away staging. Large parts of the concourse will be cordoned off.

Lunch

The concourse will remain open after the morning 10:30 service. Feel free to bring a packed lunch and have lunch together with us as family.

Coats/Bags/Belongings

There will be no room around the swimming pool for you to bring your coat or bags with you.

Please make sure that you do not being valuables with you to church that day as you will have to leave your belongings in the concourse for the duration of the baptisms. At the end of the baptisms you will be invited to leave directly from the pool and there will be no refreshments after the service.

The whole concourse will have to be packed away and so you will not be able to gain access to it after the service. Please leave the building via one of the main reception doorways.
